Neale M. Harrison is Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Talent Matters Inc.    


A senior human resources leader with 25 years of human resources expertise and experience, he provides comprehensive human resources solutions to numerous types and sizes of private and public organizations across many business sectors and industries. 


Mr. Harrison is a specialist in the area of Talent Acquisition, with a particular focus on Technology-focused Talent Acquisition Services and Multidisciplinary Talent Acquisition Services. 


He accelerates individual and business performance by successfully delivering a broad range of specialized Talent Development human resources solutions.  He has particular expertise in the training and development, assessment and professional coaching of individuals to achieve their full potential in becoming more effective leaders and driving business growth.  These specialized Talent Development solutions include:  (i) the design and facilitation of Leadership/Talent Development training programs and strategies, (ii) the facilitation of Talent Assessment solutions utilizing, among other things, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) psychometric assessment, the Lominger Leadership Architect Suite® competency modeling tools, the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument®, the DiSC® personal assessment tool and the SKILLSCOPE® 360-degree assessment tool, and (iii) the provision of Professional Coaching services.  


Mr. Harrison also excels in providing best-in-class practices in the following other areas of Talent Development: Organizational Development, Organizational Design, Succession Planning, Change Management and Project Management/Continuous Improvement.  Further, he has significant experience in Employee and Industrial Relations.  

Prior to founding Talent Matters, Mr. Harrison was part of the senior leadership team of a publicly-traded Consumer Packaged Goods company, overseeing the human resources function across three independent operating companies with a combined revenue of approximately $475M. He led a team of 12 human resources professionals who supported 1,500 employees for the three operating companies, which included oversight for Talent Acquisition and Talent Assessment, Training and Development, and Employee and Industrial Relations across 8 plants and 26 distribution centres, which also included 14 collective agreements with more than 6 different trade unions (i.e., CAW, Teamsters, UFCW, CNFIU, BCTGM, RWDSU).  


Prior to this senior leadership role, Mr. Harrison held progressively senior human resources positions across a number of industries and sectors, including extensively in Consumer Packaged Goods, Logistics and Supply Chain, Pharmaceuticals and Service, while providing human resources expertise to cross-functional teams, including Finance/Accounting, IT, Sales, Key Accounts, Marketing, Supply Chain/Logistics, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Legal, Product Development, Research and Development, Engineering, Human Resources and Administration. 

Mr. Harrison has certifications in various Leadership/Talent Development and Talent Assessment tools, including Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) Step I, Step II and Conflict Resolution through Psychometrics Canada Ltd., Lominger Leadership Architect®, Recruiting Architect® and Development Planner Plus® Suite through Lominger Limited Inc. and Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument® through Psychometrics Canada Ltd. He is also qualified to utilize the DiSC® personal assessment tool and the SKILLSCOPE® 360-degree assessment tool. He utilizes these tools, among others, in the design and delivery of customized Talent Development coaching and training programs, and strategies for individuals and teams for all types of clients.  Mr. Harrison also has project management experience and is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.  

He is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management where he attended the Advanced Program in Human Resources Management. He also has a diploma in Human Resources Management and Marketing Management through Durham College of Applied Arts & Technology and obtained his Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation through the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA). 


Mr. Harrison has attended numerous Leadership Development programs at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. In addition, he has an Influential Leaders Certificate from The Niagara Institute as well his Six Sigma Greenbelt certification in support of his Project Management/Continuous Improvement expertise. 


Mr. Harrison is an Adler Trained Coach (ATC), having completed the world-renowned Adler Certified Coach Program.  The Adler Certified Coach Program is affiliated with the Adler Graduate Professional School and Continuing Studies Department at Western University, and is fully accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
