HR Challenge Competition -- Management and Economics Students' Association (MESA) at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC).

On February 5th 2015 Neale Harrison CEO at Talent Matters Inc. was invited by Atit Patel, Events Associate for the Management and Economics Students' Association (MESA) at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC), to be a guest speaker.  Neale shared his career experiences as a human resources professional, business leader and entrepreneur, which, spans a 20+ year career within the human resources profession.  He shared real life experiences with students who are exploring a career within human resources. The event was deemed as a great success.  This session was highly informative with students getting a real sense for the day in the life of a human resources professional within both the Public and Private sectors.

Allegra "Hot Trends In Marketing" Event - Willow Springs Winery

On June 20th 2013 Talent Matters Inc. participated in the Allegra HOT TRENDS IN MARKETING seminar which, featured guest speakers Becky Quinlan and Scott Brenneman, direct and digital marketing experts from Allegra.  Stephen Crawley of Allegra's York Region division sponsored this highly informative event that was attended by business owners and professionals from York and Toronto regions.  Willow Springs Winery, in Stouffville served as the venue for this event and participants enjoyed a personalized tour of the winery, vinyard and wine tasting.

I/CAN and Ireland-Canada Chamber of Commerce New Arrivals Networking Night

On May 27, 2013, Talent Matters Inc. was invited to participate in the I/CAN and Ireland-Canada Chamber of Commerce New Arrivals Networking Night hosted in Toronto at Quinn's Steakhouse & Irish Bar. The event was coordinated by Cathy Murphy Executive Director I/CAN: Irish Canadian Immigration Centre as well as both Cormac Monaghan President: Ireland Canada Chamber of Commerce and Hilary Reilly Deputy Head of Mission: Embassy of Ireland, Ottawa.  This event provides young Irish professionals who have recently arrived in Canada with an opportunity to network with industry professional and other recent arrivals in their pursuit of job opportunities within Canada.

On November 20, 2012, Neale Harrison and Robin Martel were invited by Dr. Ted Mock, instructor, to his class to lecture students of the Employment Relations Program at Woodsworth College, University of Toronto with respect to recruiting trends using social media. Neale Harrison gave a lecture to the students about utilizing Linkedin and how to approach recruitment from a strategic perspective.  

On November 9, 2012, Neale Harrison and Mary McAuliffe attended the Appclick Canadian launch event hosted at Quinn's Steakhouse & Irish Pub in Toronto.  This event was coordinated by Enterprise Ireland in support of Minister Richard Bruton's T.D. Ministerial Trade Mission to Canada.  The event was kicked-off by Minister Bruton, the Irish Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, and Ferdinand ("Ferdi") Roberts, the CEO and founder of SaaS Markets, creator of Appclick Canada.

Neale Harrison participated at the Marcus Evans 2nd Annual Strategic Talent Management & Leadership Development Canada Conference at the Ritz Carleton, Toronto.  Targeted at a focused group of senior level executives, the conference's main agenda was "Refocusing the Talent Value Chain to the Organization's Vision".  

Talent Matters was proud to be a sponsor and a participant at the HRPA, Toronto Chapter Strategic Capabilities Network Golf Day at Glen Eagle Golf Club in Caledon, Ontario.  

Thank you for such a huge positive response at the HRPA 2012 Annual Conference & Trade Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre this past February, it was greatly appreciated.  For us, it was an honor to meet so many accomplished and fascinating human resources professionals under one roof!
